deyjiavuu 0 Posted October 29, 2003 I like this photo alteration and the title you've assigned. Very creative. Nice fall artwork. Link to comment
jeff d 1 Posted December 13, 2003 well executed. I would have gone for more symmetry top and bottom. you cut off the corners on the turned image. Very original! Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted December 13, 2003 Now that you mention it, I wanted to soften the corners, add depth and clean up the edges in the "black zone". I'm not on your level yet. But, give me time. I am still learning PS tools. :-) Thanks Jeff! Link to comment
neild 1 Posted December 31, 2003 I like the idea, but the black seems wrong to me... Do you think it would be better with the original background? What I mean is, take your square section as a copy, rotate it, and then put it back on the original image (with no hole). Don't really know if my idea would be better - just a suggestion!! tc_reed 0 Posted December 31, 2003 Now there's a idea I wouldn't have thunk up myself. I will try your suggestion. I have to now. You made me curious! :) Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted January 2, 2004 Got a problem, Neil. Apparently, I've screwed up and didn't save my original photo prior to turning it. Unless someone tells me how to selct only the center square for rotating and recoloring I'm at a loss as to how I'm going to achieve my goal of trying your suggestion. Got any helpful hints? :-( Link to comment
neild 1 Posted January 5, 2004 Might be better to do a new one!! However, you could try the following: make a duplicate layer, rotate this (Edit, Transform, Rotate) such that the inner square is now parallel to the sides of the screen. You can then use the rectangular marquee tool to select it, and you can then use this to plug the hole.I think you will get better results by starting again though... (send me an email if you have other questions - I don't review my old comments often!). Link to comment
nomade 1 Posted April 19, 2004 Good idea on this one! Maybe I would have added a shadow to the cropped square, that would have given to this some sense of depth. Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted April 20, 2004 Good idea Néstor! I wish I'd been on a higher user level back when I first took this photo and decided to add a twist to it. Thanks for the feedback! Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted April 20, 2004 I agree Neil. I will get another shot this fall and do it right. No saving over the original. I still can't believe I did that. I'll bet I don't make that mistake again or at least for years to come. :) Link to comment
