Very pleasing landscape, flawless IMHO, except for the relative lack of detail in shadows which is quite forgiveable.

I like reflection and symmetry so this appeals to me. I think the contrast between the illuminated and dark sides works very well and you shouldn't see this as a bad point at all, it does not need excused.

 

If I had to make a critical comment, I'd say the foreground is distracting. The angle takes the eye away from where everything else points. That said, it does follow the contour of the illuminated trees and their reflection rather nicely, so you can see this as both a feature and a distraction - tastes differ.

I do not see the foreground as intrusive at all. To each their own, I suppose.
