stephen-whitehead 0 Posted July 28, 2016 The now ruined Caisteal Maol gaurds the narrow strip of water between the Isle of Skye and the mainland, legend has it the 10th century MacKinnon chief and his Norse bride ran a chain across the waterway charging a toll on all passing shipping vessels. The Johan, an old herring ring netting boat built in 1949 can be found sheltering in the small bay. Thanks for looking. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted July 28, 2016 Wonderful image. The boat looks really long. Is this wide angle distortion? Larry Link to comment
stephen-whitehead 0 Posted July 28, 2016 Hi Larry, Shot at 50mm so it's a more or less how the eye would see it. Thanks for your comment.Stephen Link to comment
alfbailey 4 Posted July 28, 2016 Very moody and appealing! the flaking paint, the ancient ruins and the grey sky so typical of the area, all combine to make a most aesthetically pleasing image.Best Regards Alf Link to comment
