always welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking.

At first this looked like some Alien being, something that would jump out of a man chest but now I see a harmless cactus flower . Well done my friend with the out of focus background that pulls this all together.

Yes excellent capture Holger; the Stamen is so beautiful and looks like the rest of the flower wants to 'eat' it. Very unusual Cactus Bloom!

I'm with Tony, my first impression (from the thumbnail) was a somewhat ET looking hand, investigating a little Earthly flower.  Does this make me as strange as Tony?  ;-)... Mike

Crisp  and colorful where it needs to be and utterly smooth and non-intrusive background.

Well done!

Hi Holger. What an amazing plant, don't think we have these in the UK. Great macro shot with good detail and colours, nicely composed and presented. Best regards Ken.

I have to concur with Tony's comment, on first inspection it does appear alien like, but then this is true of many images that are taken at very close quarters. Excellent macro shot!

Best Regards

I agree with "Kathy B" which was my first impression. At one point I contemplated a color balance mod but in the end, I liked what I saw. Well done!!
