Thanks for any comments and suggestions! I'm having trouble with a grid-

pattern artifact on some b&w conversions--does this one look clean on your

screen?

Leslie,  The image looks clean.  There are horizontal texture lines in the foreground.  Ah, I found the gull's toe marks.  Interesting image.  I like the composition.  Larry

Thanks for the feedback, Larry. I'm beginning to think that it may be a monitor issue rather than an image problem. Back to experimenting...

Hi Leslie,

Thank you for your comment on one of my photos.

This one is truly beautiful. It may look a bit overexposed (sorry if I'm mistaken) but that adds a kind of extra freshness and light that feels quite relaxing.

Lucky gull who has been able to be here enjoying quietly this landscape.

Regards,

ricardo

Thanks very much, Ricardo! On looking at it again, I think you're right about the exposure; I'll try re-editing to see if I can maintain the feeling while making it look less overexposed--thanks for the help!

Thanks very much, Juha! I'm thoroughly enjoying trying to figure out how to do the black and white conversions--there's so much to experiment with, and I learn so much with each attempt.
