lauramarco 0 Posted July 11, 2016 Dear Andrey...I know the English translation for some fairy tales, but not all.At first, I didn't catch the meaning of THUMB-elina, the name of this finger, relative to the size of the character in the tale. When I've realized, I've searched some images of Thumbelina at random and it's true, most of the times, she appears sat on flowers as if they were her home.I love making portraits and I've used flowers many times, since I began with photography, so it could be "a perfect description".You've offered a better title than me. You've made my day!Very glad you like it!, thanks a lot!http://www.lauramarco.es/pn/macro.jpg© Laura MarcoThis is the original negative for the background. All images used are mine :) Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 503 Posted July 14, 2016 Another really great image. I also did not know the Thumebelina tale, I read it today for the first time on the internet and it seems that the title suggested by Andrey is appropriate. The flower you used for the background is an Ipomoea in English Morning Glory. A good job very well realized, ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
lauramarco 0 Posted July 14, 2016 Caro Giangiorgio precisely it's that flower you're pointing out: here we called it: "Don Diego de día" or Campanilla... and Ipomea. It's never too late to read fairytales, they all have a moral or a learning at the end and his prose is simple. With simple and beautiful words, the most complex ideas can be presented and the interesting thing is that they're accessible to all. That is the bounty of the good master :)I still read fairytales.Thank you for your visit and have a nice summer!.I also publish my works on my websitewww.lauramarco.eshttp://www.lauramarco.es/pn/laura_web.jpgand on my Facebook account:https://www.facebook.com/lauramarco.eshttp://www.lauramarco.es/pn/laura_facebook.jpg Many kisses.
