victorok 0 Posted October 25, 2003 it is another one picture from the Moscow Motoshow-2003. it illustraits how much is depending from correct croping. Is it thecorrect crop? Link to comment
ryanlee 0 Posted October 25, 2003 The crop works for me. Square is good. And yup it's a strong picture. I was wondering with that kind of power how come women don't rule the world (then again they probably do, being smart enough to make men think men are in charge) :) Good frame. Cheers, Link to comment
jarrydbekker 0 Posted October 25, 2003 The little boy's expression is a nice distraction to the beautiful legs. Great shot!!! Link to comment
victorok 0 Posted October 25, 2003 You are thirdth person who decided that this kid is boy! It is a girl! Open your eyes! Link to comment
ryanlee 0 Posted October 26, 2003 I thought it was a boy too! I guess the meaning of the frame changes, but the 'new' reading still makes for a powerful image. On a lighter note, Victor, now you know which part of the image held everyone's attention :) Link to comment
swenson 0 Posted October 26, 2003 Great shot. The little girls expression is priceless. The models legs aren't bad either. Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted October 27, 2003 I don't think that woman could walk 5 meters in those shoes, which is why she's leaning on the car, and which just goes to show you something I've been saying for a long time, that high heel shoes are dangerous to walk in and should be put where they belong...in the bedroom. anyway, this shot is wonderful. ajpn 0 Posted October 27, 2003 So this is her first lesson as to what it is to be a woman? Maybe this will lead her to become bulimic or anorexic Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 27, 2003 nice. ok, very nice. I also like the girl's expression. Link to comment
erin.e 0 Posted October 27, 2003 Those legs don't look to anorexic to me! very elegant pic Victor. Link to comment
greg_stone1 0 Posted October 27, 2003 It is hard to tell you about the crop without seeing the hole picture, if this is not it. I like the story it tells. From a technical point I'm bothered by the models leg by the strap, looks like a blur line. Link to comment
thomas_collins1 0 Posted October 27, 2003 Leave the crop as it is. You've managed to capture two uniquely related elements in this picture: First, the little girl's interest in the glamour model (maybe she is envisioning herself becoming a model when she grows up) and two, that sex sells (cars in this instance). The exposure is great and the timing even better. Two thumbs up! Link to comment
lee_tracy 0 Posted October 28, 2003 We have to take another look to notice the pigtails, and we should not. Her pigtail in this sepiatone just fades into the background and we have a boy with slicked back hair and what are generally assumed to be boy clothes with the hots for a woman. I guess the picture is perhaps better than the story you want to tell. Since the girl is not looking at the legs, but at the woman, and since we have no idea what the woman is doing or expressing, she could be learning how to do most anything. But the photo looks like there is a woman in a slit dress sprawled across the car, and the girl is looking in her general direction, and that's about it. Link to comment
jimknowles 0 Posted November 19, 2003 What a wonderful shot of what's it's like to be a boy! Link to comment
prabhat_photo 0 Posted December 5, 2003 I'm jealous why don't we have this kind of shows here in India. Very well composed shot and impressive treatment of subject. Girl's gaze is eqally powerful (to that pair of legs). Even in thumbnail it is EXELLENT. Link to comment
anna_czolpinski 0 Posted June 25, 2005 great picture, the little girl's expression is brilliant. Link to comment
wdgodwin 0 Posted September 24, 2008 It's all working for me - leg lines, face expression, auto wheel, composition, sepia. The only minor fault to me is the shadow line (flash?) forward - left of the legs and forward of the dress edge. I'd rather the camera been rotated to position the flash on the opposite side and direct the shadows to the right but then the moment would probably have gotten away. David Link to comment
raymondborg 0 Posted January 3, 2009 A powerful image for me. I like the crop and the boy in the background. Congrats. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted January 22, 2009 A paradox of an image and so well done (captured). When initially viewed it is assumed that the legs are the subject, but after only a few seconds they become secondary. The subject is the child (boy/girl doesn't matter) and the look of curious amazement or astonishment on her face. After seeing the child, I find the model and her antics (bet she can't even drive) trivial to the real world reflected in the child's eyes. Excellent capture and well presented... milsu 0 Posted January 22, 2009 I also thought the child in the background was a boy. That tells us girls should wear girls' clothes. Link to comment
