sphoto 0 Posted October 25, 2003 Superbly done! I can only imagine the rigors of getting a good underwater shot. Your folder is filled with excellent photographs! The composition is really good, the perfect amount of blue water was included. I do sorta wish it was a panorama, cause the coral on the right seems a bit cut off, but I suppose Id like every reef picture to bea panorama to include the spectacular scenes down there. If It was me, i would have just taken another shot to the right, and pieced the two together in Photoshop(after scanning to digital format if using film). I suppose ideally, a partner would have another flash illuminating the object in the left side of the background that is totally in the shadows. An underwater picture like this seems to be a lot like cave photography, in terms of lighting and composition... very complicated and MUST be thought out before hand! Really great picture, I like it a lot, it really shows the beauty, frailty and longevity of this simple beast- Table Coral. Link to comment
leon_elledge 0 Posted October 28, 2003 I have shot under water too. I think it is among the best I have ever seen. Takes me back to my youth in Miami. Link to comment
