Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 27, 2016 Good portrait. I especially like the little cut-out around the house on the right. which gives this picture an odd and appealing twist. Link to comment
stemked 4 Posted May 28, 2016 I think a tighter crop wold work here. maybe remove a third of the left. I'd recommend not centering your subject as much. Link to comment
raddatzphoto 0 Posted May 28, 2016 so much to like here. Light/Color/Movement, and so much happening in a "static" pose. Link to comment
Mark Z 371 Posted May 30, 2016 Svetlana,The ragged edge of the shadow from the thatch roof is very nice, along with the two-toned plastered wall. They make a simple yet interesting background. I disagree with Jack about the scene on the right side beyond the building. It feels accidental and distracting, and it doesn't fit well with the rest of the picture. I do agree with Douglas that a tighter crop might work better, although I'm not sure about removing the left portion. I would prefer cropping the right to remove the scene beyond the wall. That would also take the woman out of the center of the photo, although I do not object to her being in the center. In fact, cropping both sides to make a square format, and keeping her centered, would also work. Link to comment
