any suggestion on better lesnes for action pictures ? and any suggestion on how to take action pictues better such as f-stop shutter speed ,and iso speed .I own a 10D and this picture was taken with 85mm 1.8problem was I almost had to get inside there to take the picture .so I need some good zoom lenses any suggestions?

The lens is good and your capture of the action is good - you just need to meter more carefully next time

I shot a lot Bmx photo's, i am a rider so it is also my passion to ride. anyways i use a DSLR also and i use a 28-80mm so it comes out to a 42-120 on a nikon D100 i am not sure about your lense multipication, i would recomend the Sigma 15-30mm, it is the one i am going to get and it should be great for BMX. Now for the pic, i am not sure exactly what you were going for here. I think you need to take a big step back and get the whole rider atleast. i usally like to see a little of the lip(launch). The exposure is good(if this is what you were going for) a little blur, a shollow depth of field. You should check out some of my pictures to see what i have done. Good Job though.
