Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted May 8, 2016 Larger view available. The background on this image is the same as the other convent image. I think the arch image and this vertical go nicely together. Thanks for your comments. Larry Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted May 23, 2016 The colorful Bougainvillea! The first European to describe these plants was Philibert Commerçon, a botanist accompanying French Navy admiral and explorer Louis Antoine de Bougainville during his voyage of circumnavigation of the Earth, and first published for him by Antoine Laurent de Jussieu in 1789. It is possible that the first European to observe these plants was Jeanne Baré, Commerçon's lover and assistant who was an expert in botany; because she was not allowed on ship as a woman, she disguised herself as a man in order to make the journey (and thus became the first woman to circumnavigate the globe). william_staniforth 0 Posted May 25, 2016 A beautiful composition with spot on exposure . I think I would have cropped a tad off the top but that's personal taste ! Excellent ! Bill Link to comment

Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted May 25, 2016 William, thanks for your visit and comment. You are correct that cropping is a matter of individual judgement. I can see that a crop from the top would make the image less elongated. Thanks. Larry Link to comment
