Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted April 29, 2016 Larger offers more detail. This is a busy image, but it is cohesive to me as it depicts both street life, architecture, and technology in the Santo Domingo barrio in Medellín. This neighborhood was the worst and most dangerous during the Pablo Escobar drug cartel that ended with his assassination in 1992. Since, successful strides have been made that offer residents access to events, employment, transportation, and more. The cable car in the image is the metrocable system that hooks into the Metro that provides the most modern and affordable rail mass transit. Enough details about the place. Although much housing is still run down, the bright colors signify the happiness of the people. Thanks for reading all this and looking at the image. Larry Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted April 29, 2016 Please also look at the following image, which is an inset (crop) from this one. I didn't even see the people on the stairs in the first image until I re-examined it closely before posting on PN. Thanks. Larry Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted May 3, 2016 When looking at this image one does not expect to see a cable car. I like it! Link to comment
