Jack, To me it marks time, like a photograph was there and now all that's left are the old trace marks of the tape. And it makes me wonder about what was there back then.....interesting.

Best, Holger

Sometimes an absence does merit questioning. Who removed that image and why?  How interesting was it? etc., curiously, perhaps Jack knows something about it.  Intriguing!

At first I thought these were kites in a gray sky, and as I was looking for their strings I realized what they really were.  It is interesting how our brains complete the rectangle given limited information about the corners, but it's also interesting that you have placed a similar rectangular frame around this illusion of a rectangle.

There is an element of 'space' and a "beam me up Scotty" malfunction where there might have been two females.

I really like this image.  There are so many stories that are swirling around in my mind - I hope the photo was taken because it was wanted - I hope it wasn't discarded in disgust - I wonder if it is in someone's wallet and travelling the world - I hope if it just fell out that someone cared enough to pick it up - Never the less - this is one of those photographs that is 'profound' in nature. Excellent work Jack!

Dear Jack: Your magic is ever present here… The image is "relatively" simple. But again, you pose riddles and fathomless conundrums to the observers mind and psyche. So powerful that in this very particular and unique image, it is the title that stresses me, demanding exertion of the imagination. I cannot congratulate you enough, nor provide humble words of praise for this magnificent combination of image-title. I believe you achieved a very special thing here: Most of the images in PN or other photographic sites are about the image. In this case, it is about the suggestive title, paired so exquisitely with the most unusual subject, that defies any rational or sufficiently intelligent comment of praise. This, to me, is worthy of a series of lectures (not just one or two, or three…) and a fertile field for philosophical, intelligent, fulfilling and enriching discussion. I bow with utmost respect. Oneagaishi mas.

I read all the comments, . . . and . . . .  nothing to say, nothing to add to it. You still manage  to surprise  me, and as I see, others too.

Cheers.
