Monkey Trials

I'm not at all sure if it's real or fictional, but either way it's most disturbing! 

Thought provoking and surreal!

This is Able, a rhesus monkey who flew on a Jupiter mission in 1959 and who body is preserved at the Smithsonian, encased in this contraption.  I took very few shots because I had a surly 9 year-old with me, but this one shot had "creep factor "and I felt compelled to post it.  I tinkered with the color and enhanced the reflections a bit bring out otherworldly elements.

Disturbing is the word.  The poor monkey forever trapped in the clutches of science.
