guillelobera 0 Posted April 8, 2016 Algorta Sandstones: This sediment rocks are tertiary yellow sandstones and very beautiful due to their capricious shapes. The so-called "tafoni" are spherical cavities surrounded by a ferruginous crust. These cavities are due water and wind erosion over the iron oxide nodules present in concentric layers in these rocks. Other shapes found here are the 'beehives' which result from wind erosion. Link to comment
