The reflection in the spheres look like so many eyes looking down at the visitors. The people are interesting as well. The fascination and wonder of the childrens eyes as opposed to the masked emotions of the woman. Great capture Jack.

Jack,

Despite the relaxed expression on the children's faces, I can feel a hidden tension on the image. It is probably due to so many 'eyes' looking down upon the people along with the masked woman. It signifies a world different than ours with invasive surveillance and suppressed speech (or epidemic?).

Great composition!

Yes, they are all definitely under scrutiny.  The national security state has finally reached its ubiquitous apex in this photo.

From the thumbnails, I thought that I was looking at some kind of roller bearings or some other surface with minimal sliding friction.

Aside from the ubiquitous eyes, I find it most interesting that the person shown in the bottom right is the only one who seems to be looking back at them.  An act of acquiescence or an act of defiant protest?

An amazing capture . . .

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. We seem like a tribe of nearly blind people wandering through the mazes of the city, so overwhelmed by the constant barrage of sight and sound competing for our attention that in self-defense we just shut down our awareness. We wall ourselves off in daydreams or retreat into to our Smart Phones and I-Pods and seem to find more reality there than in the world around us. Maybe we feel that there at least we have some modicum of control.
