Good facial detail in the whiskers and skin pores

TS; An impressive, even powerful portrait. Excellent work, at least to my inexpert eyes. I wonder about the shiny light on parts of the skin, and if it could or should have been softened a bit? I'll be curious to read what others think, since portraits are not my forte.

When I look at this now, I think it's slightly over processed.                 Highlights could be taken down a bit, although then I would lose some details.
