Stephanie, this is so intense, emotional and disturbing as art is supposed to be. I'm lost because I want to look at it, as from the first glimpse it went into my mind, but I don't want to get in it too much as it may be more that I can carry.

Unique and standout image that will get stuck here.

Regards,

ricardo

The genuine article, his reaction is real and you've caught it at the right moment. At first I thought he looked apprehensive but perhaps he is about to break into a smile...I hope so. Nice Stephanie,

Best, Holger

This photo just froze me for a second, or two... Heck, for a couple of minutes... Did not happen in years, it is that powerful. And I knew before looking...

Nothing but awe and compliments here.

And then one day you find 10 years have got behind you no one told you when to run you missed the starting gun.

Very powerful portrait, and with the door (?) half closed really feels like there is action - perhaps he does not want to talk or be photo'd, yet he is present with us. And his expression is .... sad? ... or as if to say (as your title) "this is not who I am ... I don't know what happened to me." I will remember him (and have added him to my favorites).

thanks Ricardo and Holger.. yes one of my favourite people.. he was a patient of mine.. a ;brilliant man.. a scholar poet/// loved classical music the opera . a gentleman. loved the ladies but with respect. he had Alzheimers and was very confused angry but still had dignity and love for the arts and music. he was a patient of mine and was transferred to another facility where he died within in few days.. I will never forget him! thanks all of you for your comments and for those of you who have favoured this
