Another great shot from you. I like the way the reflection is formed below a mass of land that separates it from the main object. Splendid!

Great photograph Ken! Do you recall, was this a hard or soft grad filter? The control is perfect, yet it's presence is imperceptible. Regards.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments.

Walter: It's a hard-edge grad slightly angled. Actually, there is a bit of a grad line near the top of the shadow.

Stunning, another fabulous Kwan image. Very well seen and captured... of course!

Thanks for sharing.

I would encourage all to check out Kenneth's web site to view more beautiful landscape photography.

You've caught some very nice alpenglow here Ken. The composition is solid, the color great. I'd say this is a good solid landscape shot. But the thing I notice is the tonalities in the center of the image are lighter than the top and bottom. Part of this is due to the ND grad's hard edge. Part perhaps to the way you adjust levels in PS. A soft edge ND grad is made for a shot like this. I know you can't reshoot it but its easy to lasso the center in photo shop, feather the edges and adjust the center levels to match. See the upload. Some may feel I'm nit picking but I guess I believe the difference between very good and great shots is in the attention one pays to such details.

Did you have to do any work with levels to prevent the rocky shaded areas from being muddy? This is an amazingly well-balanced photo contrast-wise.

This piece grabbed me as soon as I saw it. I noticed the reflection before I noticed the mountain. It was like a "fire on water" moment. I love it!!

superb capture. as somebody else also mentioned, i really like the reflections separated by a distance instead of the stereotypical mountain and mirror image in the lake directly below.

this is also one of the SHARPEST photos i've seen. care to let me know know what kind of scanner you use and what (if any) PS work was done?

stunning stunning stunning! the Sierras just got added to the long list of areas to tick off in a couple of years time when I travel the world longterm again! I actually think the upload by the other person who played with this for you has more 'punch' in the centre of the shot, but this is great indeed!

Kenneth,

This is my favorite shot of yours and really the best I've seen at this site. A real signature piece. I wish it were mine. Are you selling any prints?

Matt

Don't alter or adjust a thing in this shot. It's rare to view a photo that looks so real you feel as if you're in the locale of the shot.
