This is a recent photo I took at a Chris Robinson and the New Earth

Mud concert. Personally, I LOVE this photo, but as I am severely

biased towards Chris Robinson (my favorite singer/song writer), I

would like to get some impartial opinions.

I metered the concert using both my Minolta IVf with 5º spot

attachment and the center-weighted readings from my N65.

Unfortunately, it was really dark in the theater, so of the 3 rolls

I took, maybe only 1¼ of them are decent. But a few are of this

quality, maybe around 7-8. Is this a decent acceptability ratio,

considering how I had to meter (readings were giving too much weight

to black background)? I'm glad I had a problem with the N65 a few

days later and was able to return it for the N75, which has 1º spot

metering, only wish I had it for this show...

Thanks for you comments and ratings!

Yeah, I think it may have gotten too much of a reading from the dark background because some of the highlights seem blown out. Which hurts the focusing on the nec of the guitar, the hands and the face(but the shallow depth of field also comes into play). It could also be because the shutter was really slow for being handheld, which seemed to intensify the lights

Other than those minor details its a great photo! The composition is awesome and so its the captured moment. Great work!
