Middle Falls of the Genesee

This picture is all about composition; only two elements visible: water and rock.

My intent was to amplify the contrasts between the two, in terms of hardness,

tone, and motion. I wanted the picture to be about the relationship between the

water and the rock.

Critique appreciated!

It's like wrapping the chiseled, hard body of an athlete with fine silk.  They blend and fit to form, but are never fully compatible.  The choice of shutter speed is perfect to reflect the softer side of the water, but as we all know, in the end the water always wins against rock.  A really beautiful waterfall shot...
