single photos Tornado over Wales

Still working on this (thanks to a wet indoor play Saturday!) - any thoughts? I think the

B&W (courtesy of Silver FX with a little help along the way) - but does the integrity of

the shot still hold up? I hate (with a passion) the current obsession with photo

composites and just wonder if this is suffering from a little of their look and feel in my

efforts to up the visual drama of this shot. Your thoughts and comments very much

appreciated.

Composition looks good.  The Tornado is at the "back" of the picture.  Had it been to the "front" (left) I think it would look crowded.  I'd like to see the color version.  I have been up with Tornados and I like the camouflage paint.  It may have blended in too closely with the background, unsure.  I like the detail.  Can just see the helmet of the pilot.

Graham, I like this image very much. Excellent composition. Two thoughts: First, the plane seems a little too high key, but that could be justified as artistic expression, and to make it stand out from the background. Second, I could wish for a slightly longer exposure (contingent on excellent tracking of the airplane) to add just that much more directional blur to the background and enhance the expression of speed. In truth, this may be the longest exposure possible without blurring the plane, but one can hope for perfection, right?
