No need to improve in my opinion this is a well composed shot. The colors are a little muted but this adds to the overall scene.

Jon, I like the image a lot. It has beautiful colors and an appealing composition. You asked to look at the large version and give you some suggestions, so here we go:

1. I'd crop or clone out the sliver of a tree on the upper left side.

2. the greyish green soil in the distant hillside seems to have some oddly blocked colors. Maybe just an artifact when converting to jpeg.

3. I would have sharpened the trees a bit more.

A very pleasing composition, with exceptional perspective and DOF, plus a rare mixture of barren terrain and vegetation. What a place! And very nicely taken advantage of to produce a high-quality photograph. Congratulations.
