I guess the blue shadow image is the moon's reflection on the lense's front filter: a lucky photographic parsite.Glad you like.

I'm glad you were prepared.  Well taken and congratulations on the well deserved POD... Mike

Your happy accident regarding the filter reflection has given us a visual treat.  I'm assuming that the filter is not responsible for the angle of the two moons; that provides additional mystery to the image's mood.

Sorry that I don't know any French, so I had to rely on Google Translate. Très bien fait!  If this doesn't come across as expressing my congratulations, then I'm sorry for that too.

Thank you; I was prepared and had a good clear sky for the Red Moon, saw the eclipse creeping in but could not get the result I had hoped for.....and that blue glare kept flashing in.Having this as POD is a real thrill and I am honoured.

Merci bien! And Google did good on that translation. When I shot this,I was on my front varenda and to get rid of that glare,I moved around and looking at my file,I find on some of my other shots a different angle between the two moons.....mystery.However proud/thrilled of having this as POD,I can't take credit for any particular skill for having produced it.Again,I thank you for the kind write.
