Excellent work, Pierre. Towards the paradise or regression? To think. Regards.

This is not just another pretty desert photograph, although the sky certainly is pleasant to view, given its various colors, tones, and shapes.  The photograph, like so much of your work, is primarily a visual story.

One might think that the story's main characters are the two people, who obviously are trudging along in a desert environment.  It appears the man in front is wearing a hat for protection against the sun, while the other is hatless - a poor choice, to be sure.  Their clothing also reveals that the second person certainly may fall victim to sunburn more readily than the first.

In my humble opinion as a viewer of this developing story, the real main characters are the dog and the elephant.  These creatures share at least one trait, namely, intelligence.  Yet their intelligence is not necessarily at play here. The dog is leading the procession, but we can't tell for sure whether its intelligence is determining which route to take.  The people simply may want to get to their destination as quickly as possible, but the dog's thirst is extreme and so its route is to the nearest water source.

The elephant has a different perspective than the dog.  Its height affords a different, broader view of the environment.  So it can assist the dog as necessary in adjusting the route.  Besides, its faithful nature places the elephant in the role of guarding the entire expedition.

My rambling certainly doesn't do full justice to this image, Maestro.  Nonetheless I hope you find some interest in it.

My best always,

michael

Thanks very much, Jon.  Sometimes I have difficulty distinguishing between meaningful writing and babbling.

I admire that you are always 'thinking and creating' Pierre.  I like how you have titled this one 'Family'.  But I am not sure if it is one family or more - but that doesn't matter. As suggested in the other image they could be going to a 'Noah's Ark' of sorts??  The elephant may not be with the people, just might be following along. The dog has what I figure is a happy expression on his face, so I think he is already following 'someone'.  You never fail to make us all think and question as we try to find 'our answers' in your compositions.

wishing you the best, Gail

Thank you for your contribution Efren, Rajkumar, Michael, Jon and Gail!

It's good when an image initiates so many thoughts and views, enables various, even very different contemplation and  interpretations! Maybe it makes it worth being, maybe it makes it a work of art, I simply can't say!

Here I see a family of three, the man and his wife and the dog! The dog is leading the way lead by his instincts, drove by his wish to be helpful, to be the protector of the family! The elephants represents maybe the loyalty of this particular family or the loyalty needed for the well being of one hypothetical family! And  perhaps it is a just its baby pet! However, it fit well in my mind, when I was making this picture it was to me very suitable, maybe an element without which the picture wouldn't be possible!

They'll be going to paradise alright if they don't keep ahead of that elephant.  Joking aside, Pierre, another imaginative offering from you.  Always a treat.  Best, Len.

If elephant aren't suitable for Heaven, they sure may be allowed to paradise if they are not too bulky and this is only a baby elephant, Len!

Thank you for dropping by with your nice comment!
