Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted August 25, 2015 Larger view preferred. Good fortresses make good neighbors. Who is protecting whom with this Citadel? The Citadelle is the largest fortified base in North America still occupied by troops, the Royal 22nd Regiment. The British built the fortification to protect itself against French retaliations, but by the time the Citadelle was completed in 1832 attacks against Quebec City had ended. The perspective of this image with the wall on the left appeals to me. What's your verdict? Thanks for your comments. Larry Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted September 1, 2015 Tony, Thanks for your visit and edit. I have another image that I took that is basically like yours. I thought that the wall in this one added an element showing that the fort is an enclosure. I appreciate your thinking on this. Larry Link to comment
