Koh Rong Coast line

The rugged coastline of Koh Rong island contrasts with its many white sandy beaches.

This was taken at dawn with the sun barely coming up behind the clouds. This image

comprises 4 exposures, blended in Photomatix Pro and processed in Lightroom and

Photoshop. Your comments and suggestions are always appreciated and welcome

The blending works well, you have enough light and texture in the foreground without losing any of the rich colours of the sun rise.

It's easy to fall into cliché when shooting sunsets but this one is well worth the danger. Perfectly balanced in terms of both color and composition. Really one of the best examples of the genre that I've seen.

Jack, falling into a cliché was very much on my mind here. It's always a concern when dealing with HDR and multiple exposures, wondering whether the saturation was pushed too far, or the contrast between the warm sunrise and the cold waves on the rocks worked.  I'm glad to hear both your comments.
