Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 18, 2015 I have a fondness for your twilight and night shots, Lannie. I especially like how you have composed this one to emphasize the blockiness of the buildings illuminated by a single street light. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted August 18, 2015 Thanks, Jack. I went out after midnight to avoid both cops and robbers. --Lannie Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted August 19, 2015 Lana, Maybe meeting the cops would have offered police. This looks like an ominous spot. Nice night time mood you have captured. Good work. Larry Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted August 20, 2015 Larry, I believe that the large parking lot I was shooting from was privately owned. People cross it all the time, but late at night one might get picked up for trespassing (if the cops find one's presence to be suspicious). So, I didn't really want to meet anybody. I just wanted to get my shots and get out. That's why I chose the D3s, turned the ISO up to 12800, left the tripod in the car, and just made a bunch of hand-held snaps in near darkness. --Lannie Link to comment
