Last Cowboy - (enlarge)

I grew up about a block from this old cowboy. Went to school with his

kids. He passed away on the 4th of July... it was his 92 birthday. I

took this picture when he was around 86. He was moving part of his

herd up through Park Wash to some greener pasture. No days off...

no vacations... no retirement. Just a hard working cowboy. His life

stile past on down from one generation to the next is one that's

fading into the sunset. I'm lucky to live among these kind of people.

The story adds so much more to this image. He looks great at 86. Sorry to hear that he has passed on.

Hard work and dedication seem to be losing out to instant gratification and entitlement today, but then, I'm the older generation now and that does sway my outlook.  As mentioned, I hope you provided the family with a print of this, it's priceless.... Mike
