aepelbacher 0 Posted October 8, 2003 The first three pictures I took at Bove Island (the three previous photos in this folder) were with a longer lens and no filter. For THIS shot, I popped in the 28mm and a filter, and just LOOK at the difference!! Please let me know what you think ... ratings and comments are very much appreciated!! Link to comment
kyang 0 Posted October 8, 2003 little up your camera to show more of the island would make it even better. Nice one. Link to comment
randy_january 0 Posted October 9, 2003 It's a very nice composition, but I think you can get better results with a lower iso film. The 400 "print" film just doesn't give the colors the pop they would get from say a 50 iso slide film. You can also make out the thicker grain from 400 speed. Just a suggestion though, I still think it's a fine shot. Link to comment

hanna_cowpe 0 Posted October 11, 2003 Lou Ann, thankyou for treating me to some beautiful scenery from my own "backyard". You're right, the filter made quite a difference. The cloud formation adds some interesting texture. I agree that raising your camera would have provided a more detailed view. It would be interesting to have a panorama of this view. I do wonder why you were using 400 film in these conditions as I'm sure 100 would have been enough. Nice shot. Keep up the good work. Link to comment
