ZuikoD 0 Posted October 7, 2003 This was my second Leica rangefinder photo ever taken. Some of my friends say is the best of the bunch I took that evning. I used the sunny 16 exposure method. It was a little bit overcasted so I went ahead and exposed at f11. The main reason for the shooting was to check how much of what I looked in the viewfinder actualy got on the negative. I plan to scan the negative later to play more with tonality in Photoshop. Thank you for your time Link to comment
steve15 0 Posted October 7, 2003 I like the idea but those finials are just distracting. Link to comment
tom fleming 0 Posted October 7, 2003 Excellent composition! I think that the out-of-focus finials are what makes this photo interesting. Otherwise, it would be nice but more of a record shot. Link to comment
gauthier 0 Posted April 19, 2004 Probably my favourite in your portfolio. Some of your B&W 5x7 stuff is nice too, but does not come out with sufficient impact on the web. The main attraction here, of course, is the fence, that makes the whole church really gothic; the gargoyles alone wouldn't do the job as well. In reference to my "Daydreamer" picture, well, I know that the low raters have no clue - I checked their portfolios... Thanks for the link to altphoto, but I've known the place for a while. Apart from Vandyke, I do cyanotypes and Polaroid emulsion lifts. I just processed my first sheets of 8x10 film tonight - just bought an antique view camera - and prepared some paper for cyanotype printing tomorrow or Tuesday. Nice 4x5 sheets were already nice enough, but 8x10 is awesome! Some of my alt process work is shown on my own small photo community, at http://photopixel.tilttek.com/ Link to comment
briarrose 0 Posted May 21, 2004 This is GORGEOUS!!!! I love the finial shadows...the toning choices you've made...the sharp angularity running through the middle of the image--the way the height difference in the three "towers" is accented by the camera angle... Hmmm--I don't think there's ANYTHING I don't like about this shot! :-) Great work!!!!! :-) Link to comment

ZuikoD 0 Posted August 31, 2005 Gracias Imanol. Yo recuerdo que tus fotos fueron de las primeras que vi en photo.net. La de la chica saliendo del coche con el cigarrillo y la de los carritos de la feria en colores. VEo que has seguido progresando mucho. Paz amigo de photo.net Link to comment
imanol 0 Posted August 31, 2005 Veo que tienes muy buena memoria. Me alagas. Esta foto la mejoraria un poco en las diagonales de la valla y en no cortar la gargola de la derecha. Lo demas lo veo estupendo. Una foto dificil para una camara no reflex. :) Link to comment
