jmontgomery 0 Posted June 26, 2015 Elements of your shot are very nice ... notably the sun and reflection / water / colors ... but the shot appears not to be level and could also use some cropping or cloning to remove the top big gull which is distracting without the head and full wings ... thanks for sharing with PN community ... trisha jean-angela 5 Posted June 27, 2015 I can understand what the previous review said but I like the big gull at the top of the photo; I think it gives a somewhat abstract edge or Alfred Hitchcock (The Birds) feel to the image. If you were looking to make this more of a classic image then the first review has a valid comment and I suspect that is where he is coming from. Nice capture! Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted June 27, 2015 I have to agree with J Montgomery regarding the tilted horizon and the most prominent gull being chopped off Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted June 28, 2015 I too like the big gull at the top. I almost feel like I am sitting very close by! Lovely work that inspires me to travel more, and of course learn the skills of landscape photography! Link to comment
Jeff Filler 1 Posted July 19, 2015 This is a photo that `works' despite, or maybe even because of, the `flaws' identified above. I REALLY like it. It stretches me out of the complacency of a successful recent photo shoot, to pick up my camera once again, and do something different! Bravo! Link to comment
hjoseph7 1,543 Posted August 5, 2015 A fleeting moment in time. This is a perfect example of one of those glorious moments that happen suddenly and out of nowhere and you just wish you had your camera with you. Apparently you did with this one... Link to comment
