J. Perez 0 Posted June 9, 2015 Very nice! This really works! How come the background foliage is not glowing as well? Did you burn it in or is it really that much different from the foreground? If it is that different, what is it, the type of foliage, being in the shade? I do not know anything about IR so I hope these are not stupid questions. Link to comment
Tony Brandstetter 814 Posted June 9, 2015 Thank for the review! Not a stupid question. I have been studying IR photography for about 3 years. Every time I venture out it becomes a new, learning experience. IR works well in direct sunlight, almost everything in the shadows turns black, so that contrast makes a dramatic effect. Coupled with adjusting the levels in PS, you end up with this result. Thanks for taking time to review my work. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 274 Posted June 13, 2015 I will never understand how these IR photos are being made! Is it only a filter or you should have a program on your camera etc! Cheers, Tony! PDE P.S. Which doesn't mean that I didn't read your explanation above, ha! I'm stupid, that's all! Link to comment
Wouter Willemse 851 Posted June 14, 2015 Apart from the IR effect particolarly well here, the arrow-shaped composition works wonders here. Like a massive crescendo, with no idea where (and how loud) things will end. Link to comment
