I used Cokin filters in front of my lens in my original capture; and

made adjustments in Photoshop, applied a solarization effect and made

final adjustments. Putting this in the digital alterations category,

hopefully to see if this kind of photo is of interest.

I find the image interesting, though for me not aesthetically appealing.  it still retains too much of a link to reality to become an abstract and of course doesn't make it as a landscape because of the digital alterations.  I prefer your original version of this "White Forest"   But if "digital alterations" are the way you wish to express yourself then I would urge you to keep experimenting.  It is also remembering that any views expressed here are purely subjective, and your artistic renderings might be someone else's idea of perfection.
