Christal1664882414 0 Posted June 1, 2015 I took a fashion workshop, mostly to learn about lighting. They hired models, and I'll be posting some of my images of them over the next few days. Link to comment

alfbailey 4 Posted June 2, 2015 Lovely sharp image and great expression / eye contact. One thing bothers me though, and of course you may have done it deliberately and for a reason, but the detail in her hair looks very hazy at the front, and becomes sharper near the back of her head which doesn't look natural to me. Of course I'm a total novice at portraits so I'm here to learn.Best Regards Alf Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted June 5, 2015 She was a lovely girl rather new to modeling. I think she had as much fun as I did. Thanks! Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted June 5, 2015 Now that you mention it, I see what you mean. I'll try to fix that. Thank you! Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted June 5, 2015 Good remarks, Alf. Actually, I'm VERY new at portraiture myself. Therefore, while processing these I was trying all kinds of things. I had never used presets before, but I was experimenting with them and this was the result. I rather liked it because it made her look innocent and child-like (to me, anyway). But I can certainly go back and get a more natural presentation. As always, I appreciate your input! Link to comment
alfbailey 4 Posted June 5, 2015 Now you come to mention it, her face does seem to exude a childish innocence, so in that respect it has worked. I'm now curious to see if that same innocence remains without the blurry bits.Cheers Christal Alf Link to comment
