rekfotos 0 Posted May 27, 2015 I like this one a lot. I found myself trying to move the boat around and create more symmetry as part of the critique...but in the end it is a shot that I could look again, and again and see something new each time. Great effort! Link to comment
aplumpton 16 Posted May 27, 2015 Costas, the overall scene is most attractive (color harmonies and variations, textures) with a mountain coast that recedes and disappears into (blends with) the scene. The boat is interesting but I think it is not even essential to making the scene aesthetic, which is something we want to come back to. The texture filter (image editing?) provides a sort of screen or barrier that is visually interesting but also something that hides (or mystifies..) the background to some degree. The boat adds presence to the scene and seems to come out of it rather than being a part of it. You have a very good eye for the play of tones in a landscape. Link to comment
