I think James has got it right with his comment. By picking this high viewpoint and wide angle lens you have got something striking, but it's worth doing some more work with it. Because you have a lot of depth of field, you've got her foot just about in focus, and the hands nealy in focus too. How would it look with less so they the blurred ? Is the composition better without the foot, or do would it be better if you saw more of the body. etc. There is a lot you can do starting from here.

I do wish the person who gave you a 7/6 and the one who gave you a 2/2 would explain why loved/hated it.

The 7/6 is understandable, because one can either simply approve or like this very much. The 2/2 is explained by the fact that it's a landscape photographer (as I guessed before checking it out) and this is a girl. That's the easy part. What I don't understand is why they will insist on consistently looking at a style of pictures that they so evidently dislike? Of course I will annoy some people by saying this, but hopefully others will sympathize too. It's time we developed a little more tolerance for other people's tastes and learn to live and let live. This is a very good effort Tobias and the depth of field is indeed striking. I would just like the photo to convey a slightly stronger message, for example a karate pose, an appealing stretched out arm or defensive stance .... etc.,

I love the perspective, the subject's expression and pose. I find it creative and transmits a good and funny mood. The lighting is also very good. Congratulations. Btw, I share the same oppinion of John Peri. Cheers.

My first impression was that the image is good, but something seemed off with the lighting. After looking for a moment, I found these things I would do differently:

1.) Not enough background lighting. This is what's making the picture lack a vivid appearance. The fact that you can see shadows makes the futuristic image look retro and amateur, which doesn't fit the composition of this picture. The blue background works especially well with her pink/orange face, but I think white would too. A goal I'd say would be to fill the background with light and meter her face so that the background would be slightly brighter than the white on her butt.

2.) maybe go for a little less DOF. Open that lens up with a faster exposure and see what happeneds.

3.) Try experiment with light placement/distribution on her face.

It does appear that you did put quite a bit of thought into this lighting and exposure, so maybe some of the things I bought up seem redundant. They're just the things I would change, so dont think Im trying to sound like a know-it-all.

good job!
