I like the way you have combined natural elements along with a subtle man made precision instrument, very well thought out and composed, although I somehow wish that the shell didn't touch the edge of the frame.

Alf and Tony - thanks  so much for your input. I also debated about the  shell going off the edge of the photo, but it extended so far that it created a lot of dead space... It looked off balance and very empty.  Maybe there is a  better way to handle this?

Ahhh yes I see your dilemma.  Maybe use of the warp tool in PS could have pulled the extended edge of the shel inwards slightly to decrease the "dead space"?
