The vision of this landscape reminds me of the moment when a pallet is being used for the first time; there's a way to situate oils, to place colors, from warm to cool ones, in that order.

Here in this landscape, colors seem located by Nature, like in a pallet: on top white and blue, to green, and finally reaching warmer reds and oranges at bottom.

You've given much importance to this infinite, open sky and is very successful.

Those clouds, this piece of sky, looks familiar to me, it reminds me each new day. For me, there's a remembrance to life, days, hours, minutes... painted above our heads, living is implicit in it.

Reflections are very beautiful and horizon in the bottom third gives importance to sky.

A very touching and well observed landscape. I'll be spellbound at place.

Congrats, Tony. Kindest regards, Laura

Last night I watched a PBS (Public Broadcasting System) 3 part series on Cancer by Ken Burns. On one scene, it shows a man who is being told by the doctor that he is too weak to continue treatment. He wipes tears away from his eyes and says "I guess my time is coming".

Being a cancer patient myself in remission, it reminded me to live life as fully as possible and appreciate the simple but beautiful things that nature has to offer. This shot was taken a couple of years ago and I decided to rework it but I remember visiting this place with joy in my heart.  Every bend and turn seemed to offer something special and you did not have to look too hard. While this is in Yukon (Canada) the road leads you into Skagway Alaska (USA) with many uninhabited vistas along the way and one must be careful especially with the lack of gas stations.

Thank you for your very supportive comments,

Love those colors a lot , sure Yukon has autumn color changing of the leaves too and it is very well displayed in this undeniably colorful landscape, a pity though this enchanting image can only be admired in that single small-sized version...there is plenty to be appreciated and praised about in here for me to be wishing to put Carcross region on my next to visit in fall list ! Thanks Tony for sharing

Carol - In 2009, I drove from Montreal to Alaska and back in 6 weeks and that is when this image was taken. I would not do that a 2nd time but now I know a few spots I would revisit if I had the chance.   I would spend a few days at each location as opposed to a few hours. Just thought I would let you know that the dominant colors are yellow, gold and green. When you find something red, it is infrequent and a treat.

Here is my carcross folder - I am going through these shots and reprocessing some of them.

I really like the way you have composed this image, the trees sitting perfectly in the gap between the background mountains and the sky seeming to spread outwards in each direction, Beautifully done!

Your words resonated with me "Every bend and turn seemed to offer something special"  It is these magical excursions that stay with us and makes us want to relive them again and again, pushing us to new heights and making us ever curious as to what's around the next corner.

Best Regards

Very kind of you Tony to share the link to your Carcross folder , it'll be a pleasure to peruse and comment too , superb photos in there ! This must be the car trip of a lifetime for sure , indeed there and back in 6 weeks seems a tad short considering the huge distance and the majestic scenery along the way that is to die for ! Your collection is impressive , thanks for sharing it ! Greetings
