The composition, the textures, and the tones make this a very forceful image. Best regards.

It's hard to use words like "masculine" and "feminine" without feeling like I'm stereotyping and I tend to be very sensitive about allowing those terms quite a full range given that there are all kinds of expressions of masculinity and femininity that run (and ought to run) the gamut. What I appreciate is that there's a lot of "masculinity" here, the strength of the musculature and the pose/composition, the strong shadows and stronger texture, the boldness of the framing. I respond with a feeling of overall harshness, meaning a kind of piercing sensuality, so different from the more objectified and overly "feminized" nudes I so often see on these pages. Here, I sense there is a power in you finding its way out of you, honestly and sincerely as opposed to so many nudes here which are more fantasy projections and anything but honest or real.

Thanks to everyone for commenting.

Marco.  I hadn't thought of it that way but she does look like she's flying.

Jon.  That's a big compliment coming from you.  I also was pretty fond of the texture.

David R.  Sculptural is a good description I think.

David M.  I would have paid more attention to track and field if Fosbury even came close.  I am glad you didn't think it was a flop (ha, ha).

Amy.  Thanks.  I am glad you are looking.

Raymond.  Thanks, it seems like the tone works.

Antony.  Wow! perfect?  I am glad you think so.  How about a print for your wall???

Jim.  I like the drama as well. thanks.

Fred G.  I always look forward to hearing from you.  I really appreciate the thoughtful comment on the metaphorical "meaning".  I get the idea of masculinity.  Many of the models that I have photographed are very strong, muscular, and outspoken and have traits that we associate with masculinity.  Thinking about it thorough that filter, I think the pose and composition are dynamic but also vulnerable and that makes a pretty interesting social contrast.  I am also glad that you picked up on the sensuality.  I am sometimes amazed that two people trying to be overtly professional in a somewhat sterile environment (the studio) can produce an image that I also see as brazenly sensual.  I am really interested in the notion of these images (power) somehow finding their way out of me. I am not sure but I hope it is true.

Teddy.  I also like the abstraction and I appreciate the comment on the BW conversion.  I always struggle with contrast, tone, grain, etc. and appreciate the feedback.

Thanks again to everyone for taking the time and All the best.  Dana...

Tore.  Thanks for looking and commenting.  I appreciate the feedback on the contrast especially because sometimes question my decisions regarding this.
