One of the better or more artistic nude studies I have seen of late. My compliments for getting down to essentials with lighting and the lovely profile of a lovely figure study. Good work, Teddy. Rim light needs to get more play...in the right hands I conclude Placement of hands was an inspiration that works....

I love, love, love this lighting. Especially on the stomach. But, hey I am a texture geek. My only criticisms on this image are that the background bricks are visible and are causing a distraction to my eye. Being barely there I am looking to try and determine what they are. I would also want to see that same great lighting on her face, to accentuate the facial features.

Now that is a new term for me, texture geek. But I understand. One could experiment with the head lighting or a little adjustment in post, but hey I think it has a mystery quality now with the hands emphasized. ( Does she do hula I wonder, such graceful fingers). Brick smidges on background are insignificant to me, or I am not as discerning of them.

Gerry, Joe, Maurizio and Alberto - thanks for the look and the notes. I appreciate the feedback as I have not done much natural light work recently. As far as the wall of bricks, it is the outer wall of the old building housing this studio. Since the building is turn of the century (1900's that is) the blemishes could have come from multiple old uses not know to me. But with several huge windows - she was posing between two of them - that gave this wonderful natural rim lighting.
