DavidRabinowitz 9 Posted January 27, 2015 comments appreciated...the stream comes from a trip to Alaska...been questioning whether or not it distracts from the image...regards....David man: falln-stock.deviantart.com woman: faestock.deviantart.com background: nathies-stock.deviantart.com Link to comment

frigo 4,155 Posted January 27, 2015 I think the stream fits really well in this scene....the girl, barefooted ''cautiously'' looking down at it wondering if too cold to slip down into it and the man coming up,''cautiously'' stepping along the edge, cane out and not wanting to fall in.Fitting title and excellent image.Meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
DavidRabinowitz 9 Posted January 27, 2015 thank you Ruud and Laurent...i'll have to look over the elements a little better for sizing...regards....David Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted January 28, 2015 the stream seems to blend in very naturally David. Really well composed and rendered! Beautiful result. Link to comment
DavidRabinowitz 9 Posted January 28, 2015 thank you Gail and Maurizio...i noticed a slight error...somehow I changed the opacity on the stream which allowed the background to come through too much...it was corrected in a later version...regards....David Link to comment

ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted February 1, 2015 This is very creative and overall so well done. Am I the only one who finds the proportion "off" between the two figures given a rather close perspective between the two? Link to comment

DavidRabinowitz 9 Posted February 9, 2015 thank you Pierre, Andrea and Felix...Ken, i didn't post the revision...i'll try to pop it up there but it might have to wait...my computer is being repaired at Apple and I'm using a backup...fortunately, I was able to copy all my files to an external drive...i'll take a look for it soon...regards....David Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted February 10, 2015 You said there were imperfections? Well, if there are I don't think the viewer is aware of them. By its very nature it's a fantasy piece, so anything goes. :-) This is wonderful! The sizes of the 2 figures might be able to be brought a bit more in line with each other.....maybe the girl a bit smaller and the man a bit bigger? But even this way it's pure magic how you put these elements together in such wonderful story telling. Link to comment
DavidRabinowitz 9 Posted February 18, 2015 thanks Christal...i uploaded a revised version...http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=17969625...i made the man larger...i've been told that it's a good thing to put down an image and walk away for an hour, a day, a week or longer so as to see what can be improved...regards....David Link to comment
