Tony,

I hate to say it, but this one is not one of my favorites. In my opinion it lacks focus as there are too many elements competing for my attention: the mountains, the alluvial fans with their impressive braided stream patterns, the scree slopes in the foreground ...

I also can't figure out the scale of the image: the fall vegetation could be dwarf shrubs, but it sure looks like there are some full-grown birches in the foreground, which increases the scale quite a bit.

Ruud,  Landrum and Christopher - thanks for the feedback.

Christopher it turns out that it is one of my favorite images of this valley inside Denali park. It is not the well trodden landscape mode of having a foreground interest leading to a solitary tree or a mountain range.  Working with what I had and having a tendency to like abstracts which is not everyone's cup of tea, this was the result.

From an abstract perspective, the middle portion has all kinds of forms, patterns and colors with early morning light  which then leads to the mountain range with some snow which acts almost like a natural frame.

If we all liked the same thing, the world would be dull but most importantly, I respect your opinion and I appreciate your comment.

All the very best,

very nice kind of aerial view of this beautiful landscape Tony!  Love those earthly colors and the snow in the background really makes a contrast here.  Fine work, thanks for posting!  Cheers!
