john_nell 610 Posted December 26, 2014 filters & long exposure has made the waterfall more beautiful.I was there but unable to get close up for a decent shot. Thanks for your recent post.Regards John Link to comment
alfbailey 4 Posted December 27, 2014 The bridge gives an idea of the scale of this amazing natural feature, and I really like the subtle natural looking colours! Beautifully done! Alf Link to comment
benjamin_kim 0 Posted December 27, 2014 Hi Alain, this is a great shot! Wonderful lighting and lots of depth of field. Given the limited detail on the right 5% of the frame and the beauty of the falls, I might try to crop a little off the right and bottom so that the water stands out even more. All the best! AlainD 0 Posted January 1, 2015 Thanks to all of you for your nice comments.John: this was my 7th visit to this waterfall. The 2nd visit ended with a very different photo (2nd image in this folder). But for the 5 other times the weather was too awful to shoot with filters (or even go out of the car) or the sky boring. This time I was very lucky!Benjamin: thanks for the input! In fact I hesitated to crop that very right part of the image but I felt like keeping the 3x2 ratio and didn't want to crop the bottom. I also wanted to keep the extreme right portion of the dark path so that one understand that it is goes around the waterfall. It's a question of taste of course. Link to comment
JeffBryce 0 Posted January 1, 2015 Alain, after reading Benjamin's comment I was about to say that I like the image exactly as is, and especially the right side and bottom for the very reasons that you now mention! Seven times, eh? Persistence pays! Link to comment
