Jon,  What a powerful and foreboding image!  Makes me think of Macbeth and the witches  "... double double toil and trouble fire burn and caldron bubble."  I also feel the isolation and raw wind on the outer Hebrides.  I'd love to get there; did make it to Skye, which was also great.  My compliments and wishes for happy holidays and the New Year.
