Monument Valley

This shot of Monument Valley was taken in early afternoon and converted

to B&W in PS. Any comments are welcome and appreciated.

Because of the extraordinary colors of Monument Valley, I wouldn't have thought to try this in B&W.  But I think it's really effective, especially because of the dramatic sky.  Nicely done!  

Dramatic indeed. The red filter high contrast processing works really well here. This is an interesting take on an often photographed location.

This is an excellent example of a quality B&W HDR ,or so it appears.  I just looked at Harold Davis' Monochromatic HDR Photography.  He would like this image.  You capture a wide range of gray zones and optimize texture as well.  My compliments.  Larry

@Christal:  The color version of this image is very nice as well.  However, I decided to process it to B&W due to the presence of dramatic clouds in the sky.  I hope that it could provide a rather different look of this famous landscape. 

@Larry:  Thanks for your compliments.  This image indeed took me quite some time to carefully post-process its monochrome. I have not read Harol Davis's Monochromatic HDR Photography, but I admire him and enjoyed reading his Creative Close-up Photography book.
