Please view large for detail. These grasses have a wildness that I have

attempted to capture with reasonable high structure or texture. I do not see

this as noise. I'm interested in your views of the image. It is a B&W with a

slight sepia tone. Thanks in advance for your time and comments. Larry

It is a lovely capture - a kind of natural abstract. Larry, this is a very challenging scene for the reason that I really would not know where to point the camera but I would have had lots of fun looking for some elusive detail or pattern. Would I have laid down on my stomach to continue that search? Would I have looked for a spot with fewer clumps of grass?

It does not really matter what I would have done since I like what i see here.

Thanks for your compliment and comment.  As I was, I wouldn't have laid down in this sand.  This was actually just off a a restaurant we stopped at for lunch.  As I recall the grasses were tangled in the corner, and the mid-day sun was blaring and glary.  I dug this out from some old images and thought it would be appropriate to convert to B&W.  Thanks again.   Larry

Gotta love the high contrast of this beach detail.  Surprising to me was the fact that I didn't really notice the slight sepia treatment until I viewed it 'larger'.  Was it done in camera or  in post?  Whatever, good choice!  Another option to consider is an even tighter crop, emphasizing the central grass clumps.  Not to say one is better than the other.  Just offering an option.  Excellent reward for your efforts.  Best, LM.

Len,  Thanks for your thoughtful comments.  The image is all done in post processing.  This is a casual image I took next to  a restaurant deck.   I too think it could be cropped tighter and that the tighter image would be a second one in addition to this one.  I was fussing around with old stuff when I came up with this.   Larry
