While this is a sweet and touching moment, I think this misses on a couple of areas. There is way too much space left and right, I think this would have been better in portrait mode. The red of the sweatshirt just overwhelms the flower which is virtually invisible against Snoopy.

The light on his face has blotchy highlights and the focus is uncertain.

Macro look! Cropping would help, b.ut one cannot pick the color of the shirt in a moment like this

because the flower is tiny, you need to crop in really tight for this one. However, if the child was looking at the camera, the red top against the wall looks good and a looser crop with the child to the left of frame with lots of negative space to the right would be very effective.
