Brad Cloven 58 Posted November 12, 2014 Wow. Intensely sad portrait. Excellent capture of what appears to be grief. The texture of the bricks and stones is fantastic. Sadly, there is a tree growing from his head. We sometime get a stunning photo captured in a near-perfect way, then something minor like that shows up when we get home. Great shot. I wish I had taken it. Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted November 12, 2014 Excellent moment, excellent composition. The "tree-like" shape in the background door adds a very special aspect to this already great capture, yielding a suggestive and surreal moment.DG Link to comment
lauramarco 0 Posted November 12, 2014 Dear Andrey,This is a very striking image. For me, there are two elements that give it its originality: on the one hand, the sadness or not ... or just tireness of the man, on the other hand, the stone arch that frames the focus of the image, ie. the man. It's perfect, the only thing I have not cut the semicircle of the arch above. Let's look at the entire arc, it gives what the Japanese call: "maru" perfect roundness. To a boat... we all wish "maru" when doing a long trip ... to go but always return and complete the perfect circle. Eyes need to draw the semicircle unseen. Well, it's my personal way of looking at it, though the image is really fantastic. Congratulations Andrey!, Kindest regards, Laura Marco. Link to comment
Vlado 0 Posted November 13, 2014 That's the case when the tree growing from the head is an asset. Great story and very well composed. Link to comment
