My only nit is the building in the BG the stone wall being bright enough kind of leads me right to it. Otherwise you have beautiful colors and a very nice pose and lighting. Nicely done.

Hi Dale,

Thanks for sharing!  I like the use of multiple light sources, assuming that the right side is ambient.  I think you did an excellent job of using that as your "second" light source.  Also, the autumnal colors really go perfectly with the subject and title.  Her pose is elegant and nicely executed.  Overall a good shot, but there are some things you could or could have done to make it a bit better.  The background of the right side is distracting.  The distant building is modern and breaks the "illusion" a bit even with the bokeh.  I think if you'd pointed the camera to the left and stepped just a bit to the right, you could have avoided that. Your lighting is competing such that her face is beautifully lit, but her gown is lost on the left.  I like the shadowing on the right, but it overpowers the left. I'm thinking you used an off shoe flash, it may be too underpowered for the environment.  Next time try a reflector with it.  The brightness of the right-side light could have been reflected back onto her dress and been some nice fill lighting.  Also, the flash is making some harsh shadows with her glasses, so some sort of diffusion would have also helped.  Creatively, you could have even tried a colored gel to mimic the surrounding red/orange.

Keep up the good work!
